Christina Perri’s `Head or Heart’ Debuts at #2 on iTunes!

 

Singer/songwriter, Christina Perri’s sophomore album, Head or Heart, is already a smash on iTunes! Released on Atlantic Records, Head or Heart was expertly made by a team of well seasoned producers: Martin Johnson (Taylor Swift, Jason Derulo), Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, One Direction), John Hill (P!NK, Sanitgold), and Butch Walker (Panic at the Disco, Fall Out Boy). The final touches for mastering were done by Emily Lazar, Chief Mastering Engineer at The Lodge in NYC (assisted by Rich Morales).

After 18 months of recording in a small town in the UK, Perri released her second album, Head or Heart, to rave reviews. The album’s debut single, “Human,” written by Perri and Johnson, rose to #14 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 chart, and has become a favorite on the iTunes Top 20 list. The song is so popular that several artists began remixing the pop-power ballad, including a mind-blowing remix by Passion Pit, (also mastered by Lazar at The Lodge).  “Burning Gold”, the instantly memorable second single, has been described by Perri as        representative of her emotional struggle regarding her decision to move from Philadelphia to Los Angeles to further her music career. The track “I Don’t Wanna Break” was featured in a recent episode of HBO’s hit comedy-drama series and was showcased on their second soundtrack, “Girls Volume 2: All Adventurous Women Do…” which was also released via Atlantic Records. 

Perri collaborated with her close friend Ed Sheeran on the amazingly playful duet, “Be My Forever.” In a recent interview, Perri admits she had never intended to use this track for herself because it sounded too “happy,” however, she fell in love with the lyrics and knew immediately that the male portion had to be sung by Ed Sheeran. Be sure to check this one out - this gem is an absolutely infectious pop track that is sure to please!

A majority of the album was mixed by mix engineer, Manny Marroquin (Kanye West, John Legand, Alicia Keys) while Michael Brauer (John Mayer, Coldplay) also contributed two mixes. 

To celebrate the release of “Head or Heart” Perri will be kicking-off her highly anticipated North American, Head or Heart Tour!  The tour begins Friday, April 4^th in Denver, Colorado. Imagine Dragons' Debut Album Tops Charts!

Las Vegas' finest musical export is synth rockers Imagine Dragons and they are making quite the impact with their debut album "Night Visions" (Interscope/KIDinaKORNER).  The band returned to The Lodge this summer to work on their full length album.  The Lodge has previously worked with the band on their hugely popular "Continued Silence EP" earlier this year. 

Mixed by Grammy-winning engineers Manny Marroquin & Mark Needham, the album was produced by the band and mega pop producer Alex Da Kid (Rihanna, Eminem). "Night Visions" topped the charts debuting at #1 on iTunes and #2 on Amazon in less then 24 hours after it's release; we couldn't be more proud of these guys!! Imagine Dragons are all about achieving a huge sound nuanced with thrashing driving drums, and dense layers of distorted synths; this album is all killer, no filler!  Be sure not to miss this smash hit fall release!

Yuna Masters Debut Album at The Lodge

Dreamy singer/songwriter Yuna is a rare talent with incredible song writing skills.  Born and raised in Malaysia, Yuna blends 60's AM guitar melodies, soft vocals. poignant straight-from-the-heart lyrics and wonderful pop sensibilities.  A law school student, Yuna was writing songs since the age of 14 and was already a sensation in her native country before getting signed to cool indie-pop group FADER label.

With her debut album in English, Yuna teamed up with Grammy award winning producer Pharrell Williams and mix engineer Manny Marroquin (Lana Del Rey, Alicia Keys, Kanye West) and the result is an album of non stop luscious pop jams.  The album was mastered at The Lodge earlier this year.

Attracting a lot of buzz, her the dreamy, downtempo lead single "Live Your Life" charted at #1 on We Are Hunted's Spotify app and the album debuted at #86 on the Top 100 Albums on iTunes as well as #23 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart! She also performed her single on CONAN and Last Call with Carson Daly.

Australian Popstar Delta Goodrem Masters New Single at The Lodge!

Multi platinum selling Aussie popstar Delta Goodrem recently premiered her a brand new single "Sitting On Top Of The World" mastered at The Lodge!

Produced by John Shanks (Miley Cyrus, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis) and mixed by Manny Marroquin, the summery feel good track features the gorgeous Goodrem dancing and having a great time.  It's got summer time hit written all over it! Check out the video right here:

Imagine Dragons' Release EP Mastered at The Lodge

Imagine Dragons are a 5 piece that hail from Las Vegas with a pretty incredible EP wrapped up under their belt ready to blast your ears and tickle your senses.  After winning a series of battle of the bands, the band got a dream deal at Interscope Records with multi-platinum producer Alex Da Kid taking them under his wing and signing them on his KIDinaKORNER imprint.

Notorious for his incredible hip hop production work with artists such as Eminem, Rihanna and Skylar Grey, Alex Da Kid got the guys in a studio along with Grammy award winning mixing engineer Manny Marroquin (Usher, Mariah Carey, Kanye West) at the helm as well as mixer Rich Costey (Foster The People,The Shins, Muse).  The result is the "Continued Silence EP" released on Valentine's Day and mastered at The Lodge.
