Garbage Master First Release In 7 Years With The Lodge

After a 7 year hiatus, 90's alt rockers Garbage are set to release their first studio album since 2005 titled "Not Your Kind of People" on May 15th, 2012. Garbage drummer/legendary Grammy nominated producer Butch Vig (Foo Fighters, Green Day, Nirvana) produced the album with the band and mixed it with Billy Bush.  The album was mastered by Emily Lazar and her team at The Lodge!

In an interview with Rolling Stone in October, Butch Vig explained, "We got together with no agenda other than to just jam a little bit, f--- around and see what we came up with, and it was inspiring. I think you can hear some energy and a vibe in the tracks that sounds refreshing, a little bit more to me like the first two records."

Garbage launched their own record label STUNVOLUME in anticipation of the release and plan on a massive tour featuring dates across North America and Europe. The band just released a video for their first single "Blood for Poppies" which you can watch below. Enjoy!

You can also watch a great video of the band discussing their long awaited return to the music scene featuring some great album snippets!
